(More customer reviews)This is a beautiful book with a picture of the finished product for every soup recipe. Many of the recipes have 2 to 6 additional pictures showing you how to make the soup. This book is for more gourmet and time consuming versus basic soup recipes but it also contains classics such as chicken noodle and many varieties of vegetable. Soups are categorized by Chilled, Light and Refreshing, Hot and Spicy, Creamy Vegetable, Chunky Vegetable, Winter Warming, Legume, Pasta, Noodle, Tofu, Chicken and Duck, Meat, Fish, Shellfish, Egg and Cheese, One-Pot and Soups for Entertaining. There isn't an index in the front or for each section so you need to flip through to find the soup you want to choose. Good index by ingredients in the back though.
Bottom of the page for each recipe contains nutritional information including calories, protein, carbs, fat and saturated fat, cholesterol, calcium, fiber and sodium. No total time for the recipe is listed so you need to read through to determine prep and cooking/simmering time. Note that the book is published in the UK so some of the ingredients need to be translated to the US word.
