(More customer reviews)A friend of mine actually worked with this author procuring fresh ingredients for cooking classes she held in her home which is how I learned of this book and the other book 'Cooking with the Seasons'. The recipes are fabulous but also use heirloom varieties of beans (many new to me) and the author includes background and history about the beans. It's really fascinating and fun. She also lists sources for the beans and I've found online suppliers who sell the more unique varieties. I've re-purchased this book for gifts multiple times. Perfect especially at this time of year!
